Make Ahead Creamy Mashed Potatoes

- 5 lb. potatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- paprika
Directions

1Cook potatoes with 1 teaspoon salt until tender.

2(Peel if desired.)

3Drain well.

4Mash potatoes with masher until smooth. Add cream cheese, 4 tablespoons butter, garlic salt, pepper and remaining 1 teaspoon salt.

5Mix until smooth.

6Gradually add heavy cream, mixing until smooth.

7Turn potato mixture into 13 x 9-inch pan.

8(Bake at once or refrigerate overnight.)

9Dot top of potatoes with 2 tablespoons butter and paprika.

10Bake in 325° oven for 30 minutes; increase to 375° and bake 30 minutes more.
