Make Ahead Lasagna

  • 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb uncooked lasagna noodle
  • 12 ounces cottage cheese
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 12 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 (24 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce

Directions

    Simmer meat, spaghetti sauce, 1 cup water (or broth) in large pot for 20 minutes, or longer if you desire.

    The longer it cooks, the more flavorful it will become.

    In a 9x13 pan, spread a layer of meat sauce.

    Arrange layer of uncooked noodles on top of sauce, then top with some of each of the cheeses.

    Repeat to fill pan, being sure that the noodles are immersed in sauce.

    Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

    Bake at 350, covered with foil for 45 minutes to an hour.

    Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
