  • 8 ounces, weight Unsweetened Chocolate (8 Squares)
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 5 whole Eggs
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Chopped Semisweet Chocolate, Pecans, Walnuts, Caramel Pieces, Or A Combination Of Add-ins

  • FOR THE OPTIONAL GLAZE:
  • 4 ounces, fluid Semisweet Chocolate
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 3/4 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Extremely Strong Coffee
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

    Melt chocolate and butter together and allow to cool a bit.

    Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture. Gradually add flour until smooth.

    Stir in the chocolate pieces, pecan, walnuts, caramel pieces or all of the above.

    Pour into a greased 9x13 in pan.

    Bake 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs, not batter.

    I topped it with a glaze I made by melting and stirring together the glaze ingredients. But the glaze is not necessary.
