Ingredients

  • 12 cup margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 34 cup sifted flour
  • 13 cup cocoa
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup chopped nuts (I leave these out) (optional)
  • 14 cup margarine
  • 14 cup cocoa, mixed with
  • 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 12 cup marshmallow cream
  • 12 teaspoon hot water

    FOR BARS: Cream margarine and sugar.

    Add vanilla and salt to this mixture.

    Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder together and add slowly to mixture.

    Fold in nuts (if using).

    Turn into greased 7 x 11 inch pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

    Cool on rack.

    When cool, frost with icing.

    FOR ICING: Cream margarine, add mixture of cocoa and confectioners sugar alternately with milk.

    Add vanilla and salt.

    Beat until light and fluffy.

    Spread on cool bars.

    As soon as you have frosted these, have ready 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff, mixed with 1/2 teaspoon hot water.

    Swirl into the chocolate frosting.
