- 2 cans green beans OR 2 lb. fresh green beans
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 3 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Drain cans of beans.

2Refill one can with water.

3Make a light roux with oil and flour.

4Saute onions in roux.

5Add the green beans plus one can of water to the onions.

6Season to taste. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour.

7If using fresh beans, add water and cook the same.

8Also, you can cook 2 slices of bacon and make a roux with bacon grease.

9Break up bacon and add to beans.
