  • 12 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/2 Cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 48 oounces tomato puree
  • 36 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tteaspoons salt, or to taste
  • Whole wheat pasta -- ~2 ounces per person
