- 8 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cake Fleischmann's yeast (or 3 pkg. dry)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 lb. shortening (1/2 Crisco, 1/2 butter)
- 4 eggs, beaten
