Ingredients

  • 2 lb organic ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 5 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 tsp each oregano and Italian Seasoning
  • 2 jars of spaghetti sauce

    Preheat oven to 400F.

    Preheat cast iron pan.

    The pan must be very well seasoned in order to put the spaghetti sauce in.

    You cannot cook acidic food in a new cast iron pan.

    Crumble beef into a bowl.

    Add all other ingredients except sauce.

    Mix well.

    Form into balls.

    Brown meatballs on all sides.

    You may have to do this in batches.

    Place in oven.

    Cook for 15 minutes or until cooked through.

    Place back on stovetop.

    Add sauce.

    Simmer until cooked through.

    I cook mine for at least 30 minutes after adding the sauce because we hate it watery.

    Serve over spaghetti.
