Ingredients

  • 1 lb. mangos, peeled and chunked
  • 2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 3 oz. candied ginger
  • 1/4 lb. slivered almonds
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice

Directions

    Bring sugar and vinegar to a boil.

    Add rest of ingredients and simmer until thick.

    Pour into warmed jars and seal with wax. To warm jars, place on a cookie sheet in a warm (250°) oven until ready to fill.
