Manhattan Meat Roll

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburg (not chuck or round, too dry)
  • 2 onions, chopped fine
  • 2 green peppers, chopped fine
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste
  • flour and water, for thickening

Directions

    Brown in heavy pan hamburg, onions and peppers; add other ingredients.

    Set aside.

    Make a biscuit dough (as light as possible).

    Roll out to 1-inch thickness.

    Put meat topping on dough roll (like jellyroll) and clip edges together and put on cookie sheet.

    Cover with Lipton dry onion soup).

    Bake at 350°. Test often.

    Cut in slices and cover each piece with gravy.

    Serve with baked potato and green vegetable.
