- 12 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 12 cup shortening, softened
- 12 cup peanut butter
- 12 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

1Heat oven to 350F.

2In a large bowl, beat together brown sugar, shortening and peanut butter until light and fluffy.

3Add syrup and egg yolk; beat well.

4Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder, mix well.

5If necessary refrigerate 15 to 30 minutes for easier handling.

6Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

7With a fork dipped in sugar, flatten balls in a criss cross pattern.

8Bake at 350F for 8 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
