- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1/4 c. firm butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. sour cream or 12 oz.
Directions

1Measure 2/3 cup of cake mix.

2Cut butter until crumbly.

3Mix sugar and nuts.

4Set aside.

5Beat eggs lightly with fork.

6Add sour cream to eggs and rest of cake mix and beat.

7Batter will be thick and slightly lumpy.

8Pour 1/2 the batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

9Sprinkle with 1/2 of topping with nuts. Repeat in 2 layers.

10Top with rest of topping.

11Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

12Check after 30 minutes.

13Cake will pull away from sides when done.
