- 4 c. pure maple syrup
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1/4 c. unsalted butter
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Liberally grease an 8-inch square pan with butter.

2In heavy saucepan, combine maple syrup, cream and butter.

3Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking for 9 minutes, stirring often.

4Remove pan from the heat.

5Stir in the pecans and lemon extract.

6Stir for 5 minutes.

7Pour candy into prepared pan.

8When completely cool, cut into squares.
