Maple Pecan Pound Cake

  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. maple flavoring (1 oz.)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 6 beaten egg whites
  • 1 c. sour cream (8 oz.)

Directions

    Combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.

    Cream the butter and sugar.

    Add egg yolks, one at a time, and beat well after each one. Add flour alternately with sour cream.

    Add flavoring and nuts. Fold in egg whites.

    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300°.

    Cool in pan.
