  • 10 to 12 pear halves
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. pear juice or water
  • maple syrup
  • cinnamon
  • pecans

Directions

    Combine pear juice, brown sugar and oil in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, maple syrup and cinnamon.

    Arrange pear halves, cut side up, in a small, shallow baking dish.

    Sprinkle with pecans.

    Pour brown sugar mixture over pears and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
