  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 45 ounces white beans, rinsed and drained (any combination of navy, great northern & cannellini)
  • 14 ounces vegetarian baked beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.

    In 1 1/2 quart glass baking dish, combine onion mixture with remaining ingredients.

    Cover and bake for 1 hour or until bubbly.
