- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. Log Cabin or Log Cabin lite syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Mix flour and granulated sugar in a bowl. Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into bottom of a greased 9-inch square baking pan.

3Bake 15 minutes or until very lightly browned.

4Beat egg, brown sugar, syrup, melted butter and vanilla in a bowl until well blended. Stir in nuts.

5Spread evenly over warm crust.

6Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is firm around edges but slightly soft in middle.

7Cool in pan.

8Cut into bars.

9Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
