Marinated Chuck Roast

- 1 (3 to 4 lb.) boneless chuck roast
- 1 (5 oz.) bottle soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- meat tenderizer
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Sprinkle roast with tenderizer and prick with fork.

2Place roast in a shallow pan. Combine the remaining ingredients, stirring well.

3Pour marinade over roast. Cover and place in refrigerator at least 12 hours, turning at least once.

4Remove the roast from the marinade and place on the grill.

5Cook over hot coals for 30 to 45 minutes, basting often with marinade.

6Yields 8 servings.
