Marinated Cucumbers

  • 3 whole Cucumbers
  • 1/4 whole Onion
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dill Weed
  • 1 sprig Fresh Dill

    1. Slice cucumbers and onions into 1/8 inch slices.

    2. Place cucumbers and onions into a non-reactive container or canning jar.

    3. In a medium sized bowl whisk together water, vinegar, salt, sugar, and dill weed.

    4. Cover cucumbers with syrup. Put the lid on.

    5. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. Will keep for about a week in the refrigerator.

    Note: I use the same marinade for a few batches of cucumbers. Just add fresh cucumbers once you eat the first batch.
