Ingredients
- 50 grams Cured ham
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 5 to 6 Sliced lemon
- 4 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1 Salt and black pepper
- 1 Dried basil (optional)
Directions

1Slice the onion thinly and soak in water.

2Drain the water.

3Mix all ingredients for the marinating sauce in a plastic bag and mix well.

4Rub with your hands to mix quickly.

5Chop the cured ham into bite-sized pieces, and slice the lemon into thin slices.

6Chop the lemon slices in half (or fourths).

7Add chopped ingredients into the bag and rub slightly.

8Chill in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes to marinate.

9Here's a variation with red onions.

10They don't taste too piquant and look quite pretty.
