- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms (uniform in size)
- 2/3 c. olive oil
- 2/3 c. water
- juice of 2 lemons
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Combine all except mushrooms.

2Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

3Remove bay leaf.

4Drop in mushrooms and simmer 5 minutes, stirring mushrooms occasionally.

5Remove from heat and allow to cool in marinade.

6Refrigerate.
