- 1 onion
- 4 carrots
- salt to taste
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1Shred cabbage, green pepper, onion and carrots into colander, sprinkling layers with salt.

2Let drain at room temperature for 4 hours; press to remove remaining moisture.

3Combine vinegar, water and sugar in bowl; mix well.

4Combine with cabbage mixture in serving bowl; mix well.

5Marinate in refrigerator for 12 hours or longer.
