Marinated Water Chestnuts

  • 5 oz. can water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 6 strips bacon
  • sugar (as needed)

Directions

    Marinate water chestnuts in soy sauce for 1 hour.

    Cut bacon into thirds.

    Drain water chestnuts and roll in sugar.

    Wrap each chestnut with bacon and secure with toothpick.

    Place on baking sheet and bake at 400° for about 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

    (Turn after 15 minutes.)

    Drain and serve warm.
