Marshmallow Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 16 lg. marshmallows
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts, optional

Directions

    Combine sugar, milk and marshmallows in a saucepan.

    Cook and stir until sugar and marshmallows melt.

    When bubbles cover entire surface, boil and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Beat in butter, salt, chocolate bits and vanilla until chocolate bits are melted.

    Add nuts, if desired.

    Spread into buttered 9 inch square pan.

    Chill until firm.

    Cut into 64 squares and enjoy.
