  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. currants
  • 1 c. chopped fruit (fresh or canned, drained)
  • almond paste or Solo almond filling
  • almonds, blanched

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar until smooth.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

    Dredge a little flour over fruit.

    Sift rest of flour with salt and add gradually.
