  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon rind, grated
  • 3/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add sugar and salt to butter and grated lemon rind. Add flour to mixture and make a dough. Knead the dough until bubbles occur, then let rise until double in size.

    Punch down and let rise again.

    Make out into rolls and let rise.

    Bake at 375° until golden brown.
