Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. beef chuck
- 1/3 c. cooking oil
- 1 1/2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. green pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2/3 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 3 tomatoes, cut in eighths
Directions

1Cut beef into very thin strips and brown in hot oil.

2Add garlic and cook until yellow.

3Add soy sauce, salt and 1/3 cup water.

4Cook on low heat for 45 minutes.

5Add vegetables and cook 10 minutes.

6Blend cornstarch with 1 cup cold water; add and stir into beef mixture.

7Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes.

8Serve over hot, fluffy rice.

9Serves 6.
