- 12 cup milk
- 1.5 (1/3 ounce) packages dry yeast
- 3 cups flour
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 12 teaspoon lemon zest
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups ground almonds
- 2 egg whites
- 14 cup sugar
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

1For dough, stir 1 tsp sugar with milk adn sprinkle with yeast.

2Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.

3Sift flour, sugar and salt.

4Add melted butter and combine with flour.

5Knead on a floured surface cover and let rise for 40 minutes.

6Mix together almonds, egg white, sugar and vanilla.

7Roll out dough into a 18x12-inch rectangle, spread with filling.

8Roll up lengthwise and cut into 2 equal lengths.

9Twist together.

10Place on baking sheet and let rise 15 minutes.

11Bake at 400F degrees for 35 minutes until golden brown.
