Ingredients

  • 9 c. all-purpose flour
  • 10 c. cake flour
  • 1/3 c. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. butter/shortening

Directions

    Stir baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and sugar into measured flour (sift 3 times).

    Cut in the shortening; work in with fingers until mix is the consistency of cornmeal.

    Store in covered container in cool place.

    Will keep six weeks without refrigeration.
