Matcha Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 3/8 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 13/16 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 1/4 tablespoons butter

Directions

    In a bowl stir together the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and Matcha).

    In an another bowl stir the wet ingredients (milk, butter and eggs).

    Make a well in center of the dry mix, and put in the wet mix slowly.

    Put the mixture in the fridge for 10 minutes.

    Pour some batter onto grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle baker (use a regular or Belgian waffle baker). Close lid quickly; do not open until done. Bake according to manufacturers directions. When done, use a fork to lift waffle off grid. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm.
