Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh fish, cut into 1-inch pieces
- oil for deep frying
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 bouillon cube (any flavor)
- 1/2 c. oil (reserved from frying)
Directions

1Fry fish and drain on paper towels.

2Put the 1/2 cup of oil, reserved from frying, in bottom of saucepan.

3Cook onion until tender.

4Add tomato sauce, salt, hot sauce and bouillon.

5Cook on low for 10 minutes.

6Add fish and simmer for 10 to 15 more minutes.

7Serve with rice and black-eyed peas.
