Ingredients

  • 1 c. coarse, whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1 c. grated Jack cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Combine all ingredients and let stand for 15 minutes.

    Form into balls the size of a walnut or patties.
  3. 3
    Fry until brown. Best if served immediately, but are fine reheated later.

    Can be put in a dish with gravy and reheated if desired.

    (I usually double the amount, they are so good!)
