Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. breadcrumbs (plain or flavored)
  • 1/4 c. grated Romano or Locatelli cheese
  • 2 tsp. parsley
  • 1 egg, beaten well
  • 1 lb. hamburger type meat
  • salt and pepper
  • dash of allspice
  • dash of cardamon
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 c. beef bouillon broth
  • 1/2 c. any old red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. flour, blended in 1/2 c. hot water

Directions

    Season the meat with the spices and add half the onion.

    Add the egg.

    Squnch it all together and then make 1 1/2-inch meat balls (seems to make between 10 and 12 of them).

    Place in a shallow baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Flip the balls over with a spoon.
