- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 c. Italian style bread crumbs
Directions

1Combine beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, 1/3 cup tomato sauce, salt and pepper.

2Mix well.

3Shape into flat rectangle, about 10 x 14-inch on a piece of wax paper.

4Sprinkle cheese evenly over mixture; roll up like a jelly roll and press ends of roll to seal. Bake in a shallow pan 1 hour at 350°.

5Drain excess fat; put remaining sauce over roll.

6Add more shredded cheese.

7Bake 15 minutes more.
