Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 c. soft bread crumb
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 lb. pork, ground
- 1 lb. veal, ground
- 5 to 6 strips bacon
Directions

1Set oven at 350°.

2Combine first 6 ingredients; let stand 5 minutes.

3Add onion and meat; mix well.

4Line a loaf pan (8 x 5 x 3-inch) with bacon across the width of pan.

5Pack meat mixture into pan.

6Bake for 1 1/2 hours.

7Remove from oven; invert meat loaf onto baking sheet and lift off pan.

8Raise oven temperature to very hot (450°); return meat loaf to oven for 10 minutes to crisp bacon. Makes 6 servings.
