Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. bread or cracker crumbs
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 large onion minced
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 3 oz. can mushrooms, undrained
  • 1 16 oz. can tomatoes, crushed
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas and carrots, thawed
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • mashed potatoes

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients, shape into meatballs, brown.

    Remove and brown onions in drippings, blend in flour and undrained mushrooms.

    Add meatballs, tomatoes, bring to a boil.

    Simmer 30 minutes.

    Add peas and carrots, add oregano, season to taste.

    Put in shallow baking dish, spread potatoes on top.

    Brown under broiler.
