Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 qt. boiling water
- 2 2/3 c. tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 c. raw rice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Dissolve bouillon in water in 4-quart saucepan.

2Add tomato sauce and chili powder.

3Simmer over low heat.

4Mix meat, rice, salt, pepper and egg lightly, but thoroughly.

5Shape into 60 small meatballs, 1 rounded teaspoonful of meat mixture for each ball. Saute onion in oil in frying pan until tender.

6Remove.

7Add to soup.

8Lightly brown meatballs in pan; drain excess fat.

9Drop into boiling soup.

10Simmer about 30 minutes.

11Serves 10.
