Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • few grains pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. grated onions
  • 2 c. thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 can peas
  • 4 carrots, cut in quarters
  • 4 to 8 small white onions
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • few grains pepper

Directions

    Mix first 7 ingredients and make balls or small patties.

    Roll in flour and brown on both sides.

    Add potatoes, peas, carrots, onions, water, salt and pepper.

    Cook on low heat until everything is tender.

    Also good to add corn or other vegetables.
