Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy milk or regular milk
  • 1 1/4 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp gluten-free flour (or reg flour if you prefer)
  • 3/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

Directions

    Combine beef, egg, onion powder, salt, pepper,milk, & bread crumbs.

    Mix well.

    Shape into 2-inch balls.

    Brown in oil in skillet.
  5. 5
    Remove to a bowl or a plate.

    Stir flour into remaining fat in skillet.

    Heat just until bubbly.

    Stir in chili sauce, water, brown sugar, & mustard.

    Cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens and bubbles.

    Add meatballs back to pan.

    Cover.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Uncover & serve.

    Can put on sub rolls & have meatball subs if you prefer, but they are good by themselves also.
