- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. 3 minute oats or cracker crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cans tomato sauce
Directions

1Combine the hamburger meat and oats or cracker crumbs.

2Add just enough milk to soak them.

3Add egg and mix.

4Add salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste.

5Form into walnut size balls; brown in bacon grease until brown on both sides.

6Pour off some of the grease.

7Add the tomato sauce and enough water to cover.

8Place cover on skillet; cook on low heat for about 45 minutes.
