- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, diced
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut up
- 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
- 1 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder or to taste
Directions

1Lightly saute garlic and onion in oil and water until onion is tender.

2Add tomatoes, beans and chili powder.

3Cook covered for 1 hour or longer on low heat.

4Makes 6 servings, (about 10 cups).
