- 12 to 14 oz. small red beans
- water
- 1/3 pkg. chili mix
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 medium size onion
- salt
- 5 to 6 dashes mesquite liquid smoke
- hot Louisiana sauce (optional)
Directions

1Cover beans with water plus 2 inches more.

2Soak beans 10 to 12 hours.

3Put in slow cooker.

4Add water to cover beans plus 2 inches more and add chili mix, garlic and onion.

5After 4 to 5 hours cooking, add liquid smoke and hot sauce.

6When beans are done, add salt.

7Do not heat beans in microwave as they get hard.
