- 4 large egg whites, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Using an electric mixer, beat whites and cream of tartar in a large bowl to soft peaks.

3Gradually add sugar and continue until stiff and glossy.

4Spread meringue over filling, sealing meringue to crust edges and mounding slightly in center. Bake until brown about 10 minutes.
