- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

2Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form and all sugar is dissolved.

3Spread on top of pie sealing to pastry.

4Top with coconut if desired.

5Bake at 350° 12-15 minutes until meringue is browned.
