- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 8 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Combine water, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar; mix well. Cook until thick.

2Set aside to cool.

3Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff.

4Add remaining sugar and beat stiff.

5Add cold custard mixture; fold in well.

6Spread on pie.

7Bake at 350° to brown.
