- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy.

2Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff and glossy.

3Meringue should be very stiff, but not dry.

4Spoon evenly over top of filling of a 9-inch pie in an ovenproof glass or ceramic pie dish.

5Attach to edge of crust so meringue will not shrink during cooking.

6Do not spread too smooth.

7Place pie on tray shelf in center position.

8Cook with microwave at Medium (50%) for 3 to 4 minutes or until meringue is set.

9Brown 4 to 5 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
