  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 sticks oleo or butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt oleo, water and cocoa; bring to a boil.

    Pour over dry ingredients, then add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.

    Put in cookie sheet with a lip around it, greased.
  4. 4
    Bake at 350° about 15 to 20 minutes, checking to see when done.

    Remove from oven and ice.
