Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. diced peppers
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. crushed tomatoes
- 2 c. cooked elbow macaroni
- 4 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- chopped green chili peppers
Directions

1In a 2-quart saucepan (or large skillet), heat oil.

2Add onions and garlic.

3Saute until soft.

4Add turkey, peppers and taco seasoning.

5Cook until done (3 minutes), stirring to break up meat.

6Sprinkle chili powder, salt and pepper.

7Continue to cook and stir.

8Stir in tomatoes.

9Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

10Stir in macaroni and transfer to 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.

11Preheat oven to 375°.

12Bake covered 45 minutes.

13Remove cover; sprinkle with cheese and heat 5 minutes before serving.
