  • 8 or 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (7 oz.) can corn with sweet peppers, drained
  • 1/2 c. soda cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 4 green olives, sliced
  • 6 slices crisp crumbled bacon

Directions

    Beat egg slightly in mixing bowl.

    Add ground beef, corn, cracker crumbs, chili sauce, sweet peppers, onion and oregano. Mix well.

    Press meat mixture firmly into pastry shell.

    Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Spread topping (recipe follows) on filling.

    Top with olives and bacon.

    Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
