Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 (14 ounce) can tomatoes
- 4 ounces sliced black olives
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 12 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I also use the preshredded Mexican blend)
- 2 cups broken tortilla chips
Directions

1Brown ground beef with onions and garlic until onions are tender.

2Drain.

3Stir in tomatoes, olives, chili powder and ground cumin.

4Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.

5In a 2 quart prepared casserole, layer 1/2 meat mixture, 1 cup cheese, 1 cup crushed chips, remaining meat mixture, remaining crushed chips.

6Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

7Top with remaining cheese and bake 5 minutes longer, until cheese is melted and browned.
